Wayfinder — Terms of Service

Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Wayfinder ("the App," "we," "us," "our"), a mobile software application for RV travelers, and the Wayfinder website at www.wayfinderappllc.com, both operated by Wayfinder App LLC, a Florida limited liability company. By using Wayfinder, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Wayfinder in any manner, or by subscribing on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App immediately.

Age. Wayfinder is for people 18 and older. You must be at least 18 to create an account, subscribe or use the App.

Where it is offered. Wayfinder is offered in the United States only.

2. License and Permitted Use

2.1 Limited License

Wayfinder grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial RV travel planning and navigation purposes. You may not:

Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App to build a competing product or service
Copy, distribute, or transmit the App or any of its content
Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice
Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data
Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App to any third party
Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access or manipulate the App
Scrape or extract data from the App for competitive purposes

2.2 Authorized Device

You may use the App on a reasonable number of devices that you own or control for your personal use. Sharing your account credentials with others is prohibited.

3. User Accounts and Credentials

3.1 Account Registration

To use most features of Wayfinder, you must create an account in the App by providing a valid email address and password. The same email and password sign you in on our website, where you manage your subscription. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account
Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time without notice if:

You violate these Terms
Your account is used for illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes
We determine, in our sole discretion, that your use of the App poses a risk to Wayfinder or other users

Upon termination, you lose access to the App and all associated data. If we terminate your account, any subscription is canceled. If we end it for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, including if we discontinue the service, we refund the unused part of your current period. If we end it because you breached these Terms, there is no refund.

4. Your Data and Privacy

4.1 Data Collection

By using Wayfinder, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the App, including trip plans, saved places, RV profiles, and ideas you post. By submitting content, you grant Wayfinder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display that content for the purpose of operating the App.

Ideas & feedback. Ideas you post on the Ideas & feedback board can be seen by other Wayfinder users, without your name. Do not post objectionable content. That includes content that is abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or illegal, and content that shares someone else's personal information. We do not tolerate objectionable content.

Any user can report an idea. A reported idea is hidden from the person who reported it.
Any user can choose "Hide ideas from this person" on an idea. That person's ideas are then hidden from the user who chose it.
We review reports and remove content that breaks these rules.
We may suspend or close the account of anyone who repeatedly posts objectionable content.

4.3 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, including RV dimensions, weight, fuel type and, for an electric rig, its range on a full charge. Wayfinder's routing, stop suggestions and fuel or charge estimates depend on this information. Inaccurate RV data may result in unsafe or unsuitable recommendations.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App and website - including software, text, graphics, logos, icons, the Wayfinder name, and the underlying routing logic - are owned by Wayfinder App LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You acquire no ownership rights to any of these materials.

6. The App and Its Features

6.1 What the App Does

Wayfinder provides:

Trip planning, with routes planned around your RV's height
Turn-by-turn directions while you drive
Campgrounds, fuel or charging, and other stops near you or along your route, with details such as address, phone, website and hours where the source provides them
For campgrounds that publish site lengths, whether your RV's length fits
A fuel range estimate based on your RV profile, or for an electric rig an estimate of the charge left based on the range and charge level you enter
Saved places, including your Home, and saved trips and RV profiles
Military installation gate information, where confirmed
The Ideas & feedback board
A way to send us your drive log when you report a problem

Routes and stop information are not checked against every bridge clearance, weight limit, or access restriction. Fuel and charge figures are estimates. See Section 8.3.

6.2 Feature Availability

Features may be added, changed, or removed. See Section 12.1.

7. Subscription, Free Period and Payment

7.1 Free period

Each new account gets 30 days free, counted from when the account is created. There is one free period per person:

An account's free period is set once and cannot be restarted, extended or granted again, including after a subscription is canceled.
If you delete your account and create a new one with the same email address within 2 years, the new account does not get a free period.
Accounts created before 16 November 2026 have their free period from 16 November to 16 December 2026. Every other account's 30 days start when it is created.

7.2 Plans and prices

After the free period, seeing a route's stops, saving trips and driving in the App need a subscription: $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, in US dollars, before any tax. You subscribe on our website, www.wayfinderappllc.com, not in the App or through the App Store. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment processor; we do not receive or store your card details.

If you subscribe during your free period, you keep the rest of your free days: your first payment is taken on the day the free period would have ended. If fewer than two days of your free period remain, your first payment is taken two days after you subscribe.

7.3 Automatic renewal and cancellation

Your plan renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You authorize us, through Stripe, to charge the payment method you provide at the start of each period at the then-current price. Cancel any time from your account on our website; cancellation stops future renewals, and your access runs to the end of the period you paid for. There are no refunds for partial periods, except when you delete your account (Section 7.8) or where the law requires. To ask about a refund, email support@wayfinderappllc.com.

7.4 Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, you keep access while Stripe retries the payment, and the App and website ask you to update your card. If the payment still cannot be collected, your subscription ends.

7.5 When access ends

When your free period or subscription ends, the App becomes view-only: your saved trips, RV profiles and account stay, and you can still look around Explore and preview a route on the map, with its distance, drive time and number of stops. The route's stops, saving a trip and starting a drive wait until you subscribe. Signing in, deleting your account and support always work, and a drive already under way is never stopped.

7.6 Access codes

We may give access codes to selected people. A code is entered on our website after signing in, can be used once, belongs to the account that uses it, and gives access for the length set when it was made (1, 3, 6 or 12 months, or with no end date). When a code's access ends, the normal prices apply. Codes have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.

7.7 Price changes

We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your plan; you can cancel before it does.

7.8 Deleting your account cancels your subscription

If you delete your account, any subscription is canceled at once, we refund the part of your current period you have not used, and you will not be charged again. See Section 11.2.

8. Liability and Disclaimers

8.1 "As Is" Provision

Wayfinder is provided on an "as is," "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:

Fitness for a particular purpose
Merchantability
Non-infringement
Accuracy or completeness of content
Continuous, uninterrupted availability

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wayfinder App LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

Loss of data, revenue, or profits
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Physical injury or property damage resulting from app use
Routing errors, incorrect directions, or navigation failures
Inaccurate POI data, campground information or military installation information
Fuel or charge estimates that prove wrong
Low-bridge collisions, weight-limit violations, or route-related damage to your RV
Third-party service failures (Mapbox, Firebase, Stripe, and others)
Any other damages arising from your use of Wayfinder

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Wayfinder in the 12 months before the claim.

8.3 Your Responsibility for Navigation

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your RV can legally and safely use any route or access any location suggested by Wayfinder. Wayfinder provides information based on available data sources, but:

Data may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
Road conditions change; bridge heights and weight limits may not reflect current reality
Local regulations and access restrictions vary and may change, including at military installations
You must verify all critical information - bridge clearance, fuel and charging stop locations, campground availability, gate access - through independent means before relying on them

Do not make routing or stop decisions based solely on Wayfinder recommendations without independent verification.

8.4 Third-Party Services

Wayfinder integrates with third-party services including Mapbox, Recreation.gov (RIDB), Firebase, NHTSA and Stripe. We are not responsible for:

Their service failures or outages
Accuracy of their data
Their terms of service or privacy policies
Changes to their services or APIs

You are responsible for complying with third-party terms when applicable. Payments are also subject to Stripe's terms.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wayfinder App LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

Your use of the App
Violation of these Terms
Violation of any law or regulation
Infringement of third-party intellectual property rights
Your User Content
Any damage to your RV or property caused by following Wayfinder recommendations

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Wayfinder is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review that document for information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by Wayfinder

We may terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including:

Violation of these Terms
Illegal or harmful activity
Fraud or misrepresentation
Business decisions (discontinuation of the service)

Upon termination, your access to the App is immediately revoked. See Section 3.2 for subscriptions.

11.2 Termination by You

You may stop using Wayfinder at any time. You can delete your account in the App (Account, then Account Settings, then Delete account), or by emailing support@wayfinderappllc.com. Upon deletion:

Any subscription is canceled at once, the part of your current period you have not used is refunded to the payment method you paid with, and you will not be charged again. The App tells you this before you confirm.
Your account and its data are deleted within 30 days, except as described in our Privacy Policy. For example, ideas you posted stay on the board without your name, and a one-way code made from your email address is kept for 2 years so a new account on that email does not get a second free period.
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

12. Modifications to the App and Terms

12.1 Changes to the App

Wayfinder may modify, update, or discontinue any feature, function, or content of the App at any time without notice. Major changes to functionality will be communicated in advance where reasonable.

12.2 Changes to These Terms

Wayfinder may revise these Terms at any time. We post each new version with its date. Minor changes take effect when posted. Material changes take effect 30 days after we post them and email you at your account address. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13.2 Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute by contacting Wayfinder at support@wayfinderappllc.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 60 days.

Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from these Terms or from your use of Wayfinder will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in St. Johns County, Florida. Each party will bear its own costs, and the arbitrator may award costs and reasonable attorneys' fees to the prevailing party.

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court rather than arbitration, if the claim qualifies.

IP Exception: Disputes regarding Wayfinder's intellectual property or confidential information may be brought directly in court rather than arbitration.

13.3 Class Action Waiver

You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, collective action, or representative action against Wayfinder. All disputes must be brought on an individual basis.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wayfinder App LLC regarding your use of the App and website and supersede all prior agreements, negotiations, and understandings.

17. Acknowledgment

By using Wayfinder, you acknowledge that:

You have read and understand these Terms
You accept all terms and conditions
You assume all risks and responsibility associated with your use of the App
You will not rely solely on Wayfinder for critical RV-related decisions
You verify all important information - routes, stops, access - independently before committing to travel decisions
